The manufacturing process of ductile iron pipes involves complex metallurgical techniques. By adding an appropriate amount of spheroidizing agent and inoculant to molten iron and through centrifugal casting or continuous casting methods, pipes with good comprehensive performance can be produced. Compared with traditional gray cast iron pipes, ductile iron pipes have higher strength and better toughness due to their spherical graphite structure, which makes them exhibit more excellent stability when subjected to internal and external pressures.


In water supply and drainage systems, ductile iron pipes are mainly used for the transportation of tap water, urban sewage discharge, and industrial fluid transportation, etc. Its corrosion resistance and anti-corrosion performance are particularly outstanding. Even in harsh underground environments, it can effectively resist the erosion of various chemical substances in the soil, ensuring that the water quality is not polluted.
